Botnoi Voice is a Text-to-Speech technology developed using deep learning to create natural-sounding speech with the following key features:

  • Supports speech synthesis in multiple languages with clear speech that sounds like real human speech

  • Has multiple voice options including both female and male voices

  • Can adjust speed, volume, and pitch

  • Can quickly convert text to speech

  • Provides APIs and SDKs for developers to easily implement and build upon

Botnoi Voice has been applied in various fields such as chatbots, virtual assistants, audiobooks, language teaching, applications for the visually impaired, etc. It helps facilitate and generate benefits in various forms for users.

Sprint 1 : Data Analytics

Dataset Botnoi Voice : A dataset that collects user activity data from usage of the Botnoi Voice application, consisting of various features that can be further analyzed.

What insights were found?

Having a dataset, we then put it through an analysis process to find insights hidden in the large dataset to use for decision making, strategic planning, and improving application operations. All data references the period from 26/01/2024 to 19/04/2024.

  • Usage proportion on each day

The proportion of people using the service on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays is quite low compared to the proportion on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Calculated from the number of users accessing the service, with a total of 1,327,376 people, divided into 206,559 on Monday, 215,531 on Tuesday, 220,907 on Wednesday, 201,050 on Thursday, 177,910 on Friday, 140,575 on Saturday, and 164,844 on Sunday.

  • Usage proportion at different times

The proportion of people using the service from 9:00-11:00 and 13:00-16:00 is high, as well as from 17:00-23:00, but the proportion from 0:00-8:00 is low.

From the graph, it can be seen that the number of users gradually increases from 6:00 and continues to increase until 11:00. After that, the number of users gradually decreases until 12:00. In the afternoon, the number of users starts to increase again from 12:00 until the period with the most users at 14:00 and then gradually decreases. With a total of 1,327,376 users, divided by each hour of the day according to the image.

  • Comparing usage between Website and Canva

Referencing data since Botnoi Voice launched on Canva, the website had 1,197,756 accesses, accounting for an average of 96%, while Canva had 49,926 accesses, accounting for an average of 4%.

  • Proportion of different package purchases

Most users prefer to buy the 299 baht package the most, followed by the 99 baht package. The most popular purchase time is from 13:00-16:00.

Hypotheses from the analysis

Having obtained insights from the data, we formulate hypotheses to make assumptions or predict interesting phenomena before testing to prove whether the hypotheses are true, as follows:

  1. Botnoi Voice lacks promotion for use on Canva

Users use it more on the website because the web version launched and has been used for longer than on Canva, which just launched in February. Therefore, users may not yet be aware of Botnoi Voice's capabilities on Canva.

  1. Sales can be further increased for mornings and nights

Observing user behavior, it's found that 09:00-11:00 is the start of the workday, 13:00-16:00 is a busy afternoon period, and 20:00-22:00 is a popular evening usage time. These 3 time periods have similarly high user access, with the afternoon being the busiest. Therefore, if we promote packages during these times, users will be more likely to see the promotions.

What actions can be taken?

After testing the hypotheses and proving they are true, credible, and can be utilized, the next step is planning and taking action, with the following guidelines:

  1. Promote Canva by changing the UI and increasing advertising

We can add pop-ups and improve the UI on the Botnoi website to promote Botnoi Voice on Canva, which will help raise awareness of this feature. The data on peak usage times shows that users tend to access Botnoi Voice and the internet especially in the afternoon from 13:00-15:00. Therefore, in addition to improving the website, we should expand publicity through other channels like Facebook and TikTok to further stimulate recognition.

  1. Strategically change the buffet packages

From the original 1,499 baht per day all-day package, add short-term 3-hour unlimited packages at an affordable 229 baht. This is an attractive option for users who want usage efficiency for short periods, especially during the times you specified:

  • 09:00-09:15 - Start of the workday

  • 13:00-13:15 - Before the busy afternoon period

  • 20:00-20:15 - Before the popular evening usage time

Offering a 3-hour package promotion at an appealing price during these short but important time periods will attract users who really need performance during those times, which will definitely increase sales and revenue.

The ROI calculation is done by finding the value per original period, which is 1499/24 = 62.45, then multiplying by 3 (3 hours per period) to get 187.375 baht. Comparing this with the value of the new period of 229 baht, subtracting them, dividing by the value from the original period and multiplying by 100 will give the percentage.
